To all who come to this happy blog, welcome.

ohai. My name is Cortney, and this is my Tumblr documenting my experiences, both magical and awful, in the Disney College Program at Disneyland. I am going to be as unbiased as possible, and I'll do my best to update on a regular basis! Whether you be a family member, a friend, a fellow cast member, or a curious passer-byer, enjoy! I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have about Disneyland or the College progam. Drop an ask! :)

check-in.

The day before check-in, my mother and I drove down to Anaheim from Fresno, which is about four/five hours away. By the time we got to the Econolodge, we were pretty damn knackered. HOWEVER, I’d made plans to have dinner with Caitlyn, my would-be roommate, and her father. In retrospect, I’m glad I did. It put me at ease a little, and it guaranteed I would know at least ONE person when I got to check-in.

Which was a clusterfuck in and of itself. Check-in wasn’t due to start until eight in the morning, but I wanted a damn SINGLE BED. I got there at about 6:30, and there were already a handful of people there. An hour later, there was a line around the block. The process was simple enough. You take your picture, sign paper work, and make sure all of your forms are ready to go. They give you your keys, and you’re all set.

My original room was 308. I’m dragging all of my luggage up with the help of my mom. Caitlyn is following behind. As we’re starting to unpack, my mom is like,

“HOLDONHOLDONHOLDON. There are ants in this sink. :|”

She, being the momma bear that she is, flags someone down. They move us to room 500, which is the MASSIVELY HUGE suite. It was pretty awesome. Not gonna lie.

The rest of that day is a blur, really. There was a ton of unpacking, and loads of exhaustion. Two of my roomies were from China. Caitlyn was from Ohio. Jacky was from Texas, and for a while, we got along well enough.

hello there, blog. i didn’t mean to ignore you.

Four months into the program, and I figure that it’s just about time for me to start cracking down on this thing. I kept putting it off, and putting it off, and now I’m at the point where I’m not quite sure where to begin. A part of me is glad I waited. I’ve have time to reflect on my experience up to this point, and  I won’t be posting in the heat of the moment, as it were.

So, yes. Be expecting updates very, very soon!

i have one month left at home, and i’m not exactly sure how to feel.

I mean, sure. I’ll be at the Happiest Place on Earth. I’ll be leaving today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy, and I’m REALLY excited for it, but I’m also scared.

apparently i’ve had an explosion of followers. HELLO, ALL OF YOU. ♥ don’t be shy! say hello!

Day #8: Your favorite villain

Kay, so, I couldn’t pick just one villain. My bad.

I like Hades because, despite being a malevolent badass, he’s pretty comical. And also, I’m a sucker for mythology.

And Maleficent? She put a curse on a BABY because she wasn’t invited to the party. I mean, seriously. That’s about as evil as it gets.

My postcard! WOO!

Day #7: Your favorite sidekick

Seriously. He is so gosh darn adorable, but at the same time? He can kind of sort of be a jerk.  Much love.
